ZYBER

For creators

You can have forty thousand people watching what you make and not one of them nearby who understands why a bad week of numbers ruins your whole month. Zyber is a real-time, proximity-based social and networking app for ambitious young people in India. For creators, it solves a specific kind of lonely: an audience is not a peer group, and the people who would actually get it are scattered, known to you only as other accounts.

The problem, named properly

Being a creator is a strange kind of lonely. You are probably not friendless, you might have more reach than most people will ever have. But reach is not company. The people who watch your videos, read what you write, or listen to your voice are not the people you can call when the algorithm changes overnight and your numbers fall off a cliff for no reason anyone will explain to you.

The people who would actually understand it, the burnout, the comment section, the invoice that is two months late, the platform that just changed its rules again, are other creators. But they are rarely down the hall. They are a name on a screen, an account you follow, a DM you have never opened, a city you do not even know. “Networking” for a creator usually means messaging a stranger with a bigger following and hoping.

A traditional media job comes with colleagues built in: a newsroom, a production house, a team down the corridor. Building an independent creative practice does not. You are the writer, the editor, the business department, and some days the therapist, often alone in the same room, and none of that loneliness has anything to do with being introverted or extroverted. It is structural. Nobody built you an office.

What Zyber does

Shows you other creators and creative people nearby, matched on what you actually make, not just that you both happen to post online. A video editor two neighbourhoods over. A newsletter writer in your own city sitting on the same three thousand subscribers you are.

Opens a live window. When you are both free and both up for it, the conversation happens now, while you are both actually thinking about it, not buried in a DM request folder neither of you checks.

Writes the first message. Based on what you genuinely share, so the opener is never “love your content,” it is something specific and real.

Verified profiles only. Which is why more than 75% of conversations started get a reply, against 10 to 20% on comparable platforms, and why 70% of the network is women. Reply-rate and gender-mix figures are Zyber's own in-app data, not a third-party survey.

Why the network is worth joining

Zyber was built by more than 500 student builders across India's top institutions, and it is live across the IIMs, NLUs, NIFTs, AIIMS, top DU colleges, and private universities like Ashoka, rolling out to more campuses monthly, now open to young professionals too, plenty of whom are building a creative practice alongside a day job or instead of one. Zyber's own founder, Falit Sijariya, left a conventional career as a McKinsey business analyst to go build something independent, the same bet a lot of creators reading this are already making.

A local peer group who understands the actual mechanics of the grind, the algorithm, the burnout, the business side of it, is worth more than a bigger following the moment you actually need to talk to someone who gets it.

FAQ

Is Zyber for creators, or is it more like Instagram or LinkedIn?+

Neither. Zyber is not a place to post content or build a following. It is a real-time app that shows you other creators and creative people physically nearby, verified, so you can build an actual local peer group instead of another platform to post on.

Can Zyber help me meet other creators in my city, not just followers online?+

Yes, that is the specific gap it closes. Your followers are not your peers. Zyber matches you with nearby creators and creative people based on what you actually make, so networking stops meaning cold DMs to strangers.

Is this only for video creators, or does it work for writers, musicians, and podcasters too?+

All of it counts, video, writing, art, music, podcasts, and whatever else you make. The match is on shared creative context, not one specific platform or format.

How is this different from a creator Discord or WhatsApp group?+

A group chat is one more feed to check. Zyber is built around one real conversation with one specific nearby person, at a moment when you are both actually free, not another group sitting unread.

Is Zyber free to use?+

Yes. Zyber is free to download on iOS and Android.
